Product Description The new Ripstick combines all the fun and excitement of surfing and snowboarding and puts it on wheels. Inspired by the classic shape and design of a skateboard, the Ripstick looks like something out of the future. Instead of the traditional four-wheel skateboard, this amazing board can make smooth, quick 360-degree turns on just two wheels. Just stand on the sturdy traction plates and subtle movements propel the Ripstick even up a hill! The front and rear flexible panels are controlled by a spring-oriented bar located on the top of the wheels. The rugged polyurethane wheels are 77mm/85A with ABEC-5 bearings. Separating the two traction plates is a padded rubber carrying handle. Measures 33.5" long x 10" wide. Weighs 8 lbs. Wear helmet and pads for safety. 90-day warranty.
Amazon.com Product Description Best described as a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard, the Ripstik caster board is the perfect ride for kids looking for the next big thrill. And thanks to the 76mm polyurethane wheels and precision ABEC-5 bearing casters, skaters will enjoy a smooth ride on almost any type of pavement. Ripstik August 13, 2008 Karen Forman (East Northport, NY) My twin daughters are turning 15 and they absolutely love their Ripstiks. They go everywhere with them! Great exercise and lots of fun! Thanks.
Ripstik review August 11, 2008 T. Dixon We purchased the Ripstik, the smaller one, for my 9 yr old son and the larger one for my 12 yr old son. They both love it! It took a little practice (in the kitchen) to get used to it, then they ventured outside. We do require the kids to wear safety gear. Both my boys seem to prefer them over skateboards. Amazon's service was really great as usual!
Ripstik Shipping August 3, 2008 Tiggy & Doc's Mom (Winter Park, FL) 5 stars for the Ripstik...1 star for the shipping. I ordered a Ripstik for my son's 9th birthday. It was shipped from California to Florida. Thankfully, the Ripstik arrived undamaged. The box it arrived in was another matter. It was crushed and torn almost completely open on both sides of the flimsy box and didn't have any packing materials to cushion the Ripstik at all. The Ripstik was completely exposed...fortunately, all parts and directions were still included and the Ripstik wasn't broken. My son LOVES his Ripstik and has become "professional" riding it everywhere.
RipStik August 3, 2008 S. Johnson (Houston, TX USA) I bought this for my husband for his 40th birthday. He started snowboarding this past winter and the ripstik is suppose to be similar movements to the snowboarding action. My husband was so thrilled and he said it is alot like the snowboarding and is a fun workout. He enjoys learning new things. This is a well made board and is a big hit with all the kids on our street too!
Ripstik August 1, 2008 Kirsten Lenartowich (Buffalo,NY) Other than the package arriving completely destroyed, my son loves his new ripstik and is having a lot of fun with it.
